Flying Over the Ocean: Vinpearl Cable Car
“Good morning and welcome back to the channel!” our day started — with leftover pizza for breakfast (because who doesn’t love cold pizza when travelling?). With a full stomach and plenty of energy, we set off for one of Nha Trang’s biggest highlights: the Vinpearl Nha Trang cable car.
Suspended high above the turquoise sea, the ride gave us jaw-dropping views of the bay and the colourful buildings of Vinpearl Island. It felt surreal gliding toward what looked like a mix between a fairytale castle and a rainbow-painted European town. The 3,300-metre cable car ride alone is worth the trip — it’s the longest over-sea cable car in the world!

Theme Park Wonders and Colourful Streets
Once we touched down, we felt like we’d stepped into another world. Think pastel-coloured buildings, cobbled streets, fountains, and even a giant castle.
“Bit of a pizza overdose really,” we joked earlier that morning, but now it was more like a colour overdose. Everywhere we turned, there was another vibrant photo spot.
Vinpearl isn’t just rides and rollercoasters — it’s like wandering through a living film set. We explored the grand squares, admired the fountains, and got lost in the storybook-style streets.

A Surprise Stop: The Elf Village
Yes, you read that right — there’s an Elf Village in tropical Vietnam! Walking through fake snow, Christmas trees, and nutcracker statues in the middle of the blazing sun was both bizarre and brilliant. It felt like stepping into a Christmas card… in July.

Dinner by Candlelight (Thanks to a Powercut)
After a full day of exploring Vinpearl, we headed back to the mainland and followed a friend’s recommendation to Cheers Bar — a cosy little spot that made the perfect pitstop before dinner.
For food, we wandered into a local restaurant, sat down, and… boom. Powercut. Suddenly, the whole place went dark, and we found ourselves eating dinner by candlelight. Romantic? Absolutely. Expected? Not at all. But sometimes the unexpected moments make the best travel memories.

Talking Zombies Back at the Hotel
Back at the hotel, drinks in hand, the conversation took a turn for the weird. Somehow, we ended up discussing what would happen if the world was suddenly taken over by zombies — and how we’d cope. (Spoiler: we didn’t come up with a foolproof plan, but we had a good laugh trying.)
It was the perfect end to a day that started with pizza for breakfast and ended with an impromptu apocalypse survival chat. That’s travel life for you unpredictable, colourful, and always memorable.
