Good morning, fellow adventurers! Marc and Vee here, reporting in from the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan. Today, we’re taking you through our journey, from the early start to the smooth ferry ride and our first impressions of this tropical paradise.
Early Start and Camera Mishap
Our day began with an early rise as we headed to Nusa Lembongan. A minor hiccup occurred when Marc dropped our camera, equipped with a new rig cage, just before our departure. Thankfully, the camera survived the fall, teaching us to double-check our equipment before hitting the road.
Ferry Port Antics
Arriving at the ferry port, we grabbed a cup of coffee while waiting for Eddie to arrange the car pick-up. Breakfast turned out to be a plate of chips – a quirky start to our day. We shared glimpses of the surroundings, raising questions about a construction project near the port.
Smooth Sailing to Nusa Lembongan
After a seamless check-in at the Scoot office, we boarded the ferry, marveling at the organized and calm atmosphere of the new terminal. The journey was a breeze, with impressive views of the island’s coastline. Upon arrival, a smaller boat transferred us to the shore, offering a unique perspective of the island.
First Impressions of Sukenusa Luxury Hut
Our accommodation at Sukenusa Luxury Hut, however, presented some challenges. A room change was necessary due to a faulty door and malfunctioning air conditioning. The initial impressions were mixed, and we couldn’t help but ponder the value for the money spent.
Wandering the Streets and Sunset on the Beach
Undeterred, we ventured into the streets of Nusa Lembongan, discovering bars, bike rentals, and vibrant local life. We stumbled upon Finn’s Cafe, witnessing a snake-catching incident that added a touch of excitement to our evening.
As the day unfolded, we enjoyed a delightful meal at Mickey’s, a hotspot for live sports, and later strolled down the beach, captivated by the unique sunset experience offered by Nusa Lembongan coral-strewn shores.
