As we left Nusa Lembongan, we encountered the first hurdle – a dispute over charges. The tale unfolded as we were told there was no internet for card payments, leading us to pay in cash. Yet, the narrative changed abruptly, with the card machines miraculously working again. Unsettled, we questioned the situation, ultimately agreeing to an additional payment, leaving us questioning the integrity of the transaction.
Gili Air Bound: A Rollercoaster of Emotions
Undeterred, we set off for Gili Air, capturing the beautiful landscapes and the promise of a tranquil escape. The fast boat journey presented no challenges and was a really enjoyable experience, and the stunning views and free water on board only added a silver lining to the experience.

As dusk settled over Gili Air, an unexpected power outage cast a different light on our evening plans. However, it became a unique opportunity to experience the island’s authentic charm under the moonlight. Witnessing the power cut brought a moment of reflection on the contrasting realities of island life.

Turning our attention to accommodation, a quick decision led us to Puri Air, Gili Villas. Negotiating a favorable deal, we found solace in a cozy haven, far better than our initial choice.
