A big part of owning a VW has to be the shows and the campouts, we have made so many friends along the way some who you might only see once or twice a year. There is so much to do and see at these events and I love making little naff videos. So below is a year of camping with some very crazy people we really had some great laughs didn’t we? I can’t wait for it to all start again next year, thinking of whuch I had better get on with the Crafter.
The year started with a fun packed weekend. 2018 saw the return of VanWest for the 13th year on the 5 star rated Warren Farm campsite at Brean Sands, Burnham-On-Sea on the 11-13th of May.

The annual VW rally Dubs@Stowford ran from Friday 4th – Monday 7th May 2018. Over 1000 fellow VW camper van enthusiasts attended, it was the start a very hot summer.

BristolVolks Fest, A weekend in June. It rained, the sun came out a little, we ate and we got drunk, we listened to music and talked Dubs, and I got to meet Neville Stapel from The Specials.

Dubs at the Castle at Caldicot Castle July 2018. The summer of 2018 was blessed with beautiful sunny weather and this weekend was no different. Lots of very chilled people enjoyed fun, laughter, music and of course a healthy mix of VDubs. The best thing was Asda cooked pizza 10 mins from the castle grounds I was happy , oh and there was a Chinese restaurant too. Dubbers @ Chudders A weekend of beer and VW fun in Chudliegh, this was a very small group of friends who got together at the Highwayman’s Haunt. Great food here too.

This year we had quite a bit of rain at this show which meant that we probably drank far more than we should have, we did however have a fantastic time at the Cornwall Jamboree 23rd – 25th August 2019 Stithians Showground 3 whole days of camping, music, entertainment, food stalls, show n shine and VW’s.

The final VW show of 2018 for me Octoberfest at the River Dart Country Park. It was great to catch up with old friends and we also met some new friends too. In fact this year we have made quite a few new friends on our travels.
